The holidays have come and gone and let me just say I couldn’t be more relieved! The scraps have been picked up off the floor, the Christmas decorations are down, and things are finally back to normal. From Thanksgiving to now there has been a lot going on. From turkey to gingerbread houses, chocolates to caramel, and eating a ton of treats, I didn’t have time to keep up on my blog. So, I have finally got a few minutes to let you know what has been going on.
Thanksgiving break was short and sweet! I didn’t have time to do anything but study and write papers. I had so much school work to do that I didn’t even get to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. I was so disappointed because that is something I LOVE TO DO!!!
During December there always is a lot going on, but on of my favorite things to do is make gingerbread houses. The sad thing is that last year I didn’t even get to participate because of school and this year I was demoted to helping! YUCK!! The disappointment was more than I could take. Michelle and I usually have our houses planned, mapped out, and constructed on graph paper months in advance. This year we were nothing but gophers, which wasn't as bad as I am making it sound.
Tanner always makes sure that his house is perfect! Tyler is just glad he hasn't been demoted!
I did however get promoted in the world of candy making. This year I was given the privilege of dipping the chocolates instead of being the gopher. It was nice to have my mother warm up my rice bag, refill my diet Pepsi, and feed me when I asked. I wished my kids listened and moved as fast as she did.
Christmas came faster than I wanted it too! There was so much going on that I didn’t start shopping until it was almost too late. I hate shopping as it is, but to throw me in with five times the people is my worst nightmare. I couldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for my BFF, Natalie. There was nothing more exciting than watching Tyler and Tanner on Christmas morning. Tanner was up and gracing me with his presence at two o’clock in the morning. He didn’t go back to sleep until nine o’clock that night.
I hope I didn't bore you all with my Christmas Stories. I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Years!
